As trainers, we're well aware of the paltry statics regarding post-training remembering and transfer; somewhere around 10-20%. If we were in sales, we wouldn't last long! In this session, we will look at the best ways to teach the prehistoric brain in the modern workplace, and share breakthrough strategies to overcome the real challenges learners have today at work. Michael Pearsall has worked in the insurance industry since 1995. He started as a workers' compensation adjuster at Travelers Insurance, AIG and Wausau insurance before joining Sedgwick in 2001. At Sedgwick, he has been a program manager, quality manager and has been a training manager since 2006. Pearsall's expertise is in claim handling and leadership. He is a graduate of University of Massachusetts Lowell and holds a master's degree in History from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He also holds is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, has his Associate in Risk Management from the Institutes and his ITP designation from the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators.
