"How Do We Train to Our New Generations?"
Presented by: Nancy Germond, MA, SHRM-SCP, ARM, AIC, ITP - Residential Faculty at Glendale Community College's Risk Management/Insurance program.

A new generation will determine the insurance industry's future. How can you build a competent, resilient workforce with today's incoming talent? Join Nancy Germond, a community college professor of insurance, in this one-hour webinar. Hiring and building a team today are very different than they were when our parents got their first careers. Low unemployment, high expectations, changing cultural values, new technologies, and evolving generational consciousness have all combined to change the way we hire, train, and build winning teams.

Here's what you will go away with:

• We will analyze the challenges we face in hiring and better understand who it is we are hiring.
• We will evaluate what young people want in a career.
• We will analyze the positive and shape-able traits that inexperienced workers bring to the workplace.
• We will evaluate which insurance organizations will be most impacted by the talent gap and evaluate solutions for the talent gap.
• We will analyze the training challenges associated with training our new generations.

Nancy Germond, MA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, ARM, AIC, ITP has worked with insurance veterans and young people interested in the industry. She speaks to different groups within the insurance world and is residential faculty at Glendale Community College's risk management/insurance program.
