President's Report
Hello SITE Members, Guests, and Friends,
2024 was a banner year for SITE!
We hit the ground running in January 0f 2024 with our new board members. Our goals included monthly webinars, Train the Trainer sessions, a total website redesign and planning for an in-person conference in April of 2025. It is nice to start a new year with a plan and even better when you accomplish so much.
We conducted 10 monthly webinars including various subjects that helped enhance our training skills. We still have one more webinar scheduled for December, our “Year in Review” and our ugly Christmas Sweater gathering. We had a number of new presenters this year. Thanks to Gin Brockwell and Craig Tappel’s planning.
Our acclaimed flagship program Train the Trainer program took place in 2024. Three sessions in 2024 allowed us to add new SITE members and certify them as trainers. Special thanks to the facilitators who gave their time and energy to successful training opportunities.
Our Board met nine times in 2024. Checking on our progress towards our goals along with resolving any issues related to SITE were our primary focus. We have an amazing board of directors who work tirelessly to provide the benefits that we all share as SITE members. We do have a few open positions on the board for 2025. Please reach out to me if you have any interest in serving on the board.
Special thanks our board members who rolled off in 2024; Sandi Ciccione, Kathy Cox, and Ron Trifari. Without your efforts SITE would not be as successful as we have been. On behalf of the board and all the SITE members, Thank You!.
We launched our NEW Website only a few weeks ago. It is a significant improvement and allows us to provide more benefits to all our members. The team who championed this includes the leader of the committee, Heather Blevins, including her team, Diane Hanlon, Eric Czerwin, Steve Cline, Emily Donnelly, Patrick Wraight, Arthur Carvajal, Gregg Golson, Gin Brickwell and Craig Tappel. If you have not already checked out the new website, please do.
We have big plans for 2025. Train the Trainer and Webinars will continue. We have made plans to conduct an in-person conference year in April of 2025 in Nashville, TN. Details are coming any day now. Mark you calendars for April 1-2, 2025 for the “Music City Return of SITE”.
As always, our goal is to meet the needs of our members. Our mission is clear: The Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators exists to provide professional development to Society Members through programs, networking opportunities and services. If there are programs or services we need to consider, please feel free to reach our to me at [email protected].
I am excited about the continued future of SITE and our new board gives me great confidence that future will be even better than in the past. It is hard to improve and a good thing. My hope is we tweak it to make it even better.
