PROGRAM DETAILS

Mid-Atlantic SITE is starting the year off with a bang! Come to this month's meeting to get new ideas from your colleagues as we tackle these topics in a facilitated group roundtable discussion.  Feel free to bring a friend and show them what SITE has to offer!  All-Risks, Ltd. has graciously provided their location and a free lunch!  Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch!?  While this is a free event we ask that you RSVP no later than January 14 so we can adequately prepare.  Please contact Paul Balbresky, SITE Regional VP at the number or email below.

This month's Regional Meeting focuses on the topic of job competencies, which are critical to ensuring that employees are trained to the expectations of their positions. In the afternoon, we'll talk about how and why leadership development is now "front and center" on most corporate agendas and how it integrates with job competencies and organizational succession planning.

Developing and Training to Competencies
Facilitated by Connor Harrison, MS

This discussion will focus on how organizational strategic initiatives are driving competency-based training, and the resulting consequences for training and development departments. In the email follow-up to your registration, you will be invited to share the challenges you are encountering in creating and implementing competency models. Your questions will help us customize the agenda.

Leadership Development for Competitive Advantage
Facilitated by Patricia Enright, MEd, MLD

The field of life & health insurance is undergoing many changes. What’s required of our employees now and into the future is quite different than what it has been in the past. Keeping employees skills ahead of these changes can have a dramatic impact on member retention, provider relationships (for health insurers), and profitability of your organization.  The meeting is intended for those who administer programs and/or are responsible for the development of health and life employees.  The purpose of the WebEx meeting is to begin a discussion group with the hope of uncovering some of the issues and challenges faced by administrators and training professionals in the Life/Health insurance field.  The WebEx meeting will help us to share ideas (in preparation for the SITE annual conference) on how to design, develop, and implement training programs that assist our employees to keep up with an ever changing health/life insurance environment.
